Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger has been obsessing with the attempt to transfer German side Borussia Dortmund’s wonderkid Mario Gotze ever since he first placed a bid on the midfielder in the summer, but now he will also have to fight Ferguson in the attempt to sign him.
The 19-year-old central midfielder has become a very important part of both his club and the senior German national squad after some brilliant performances, and now he’s on the list of many big clubs around the world. Amongst the best are Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United, but The Gunners are the most obsessed with him.
The people wrote that Arsene Wenger’s staff watched every match played by the young star so far in this season and that they are bound to submit another fee for the playmaker in January.
With United now on the wire Wenger’s job will be a much tougher one. The £25million fee that is rumoured to be the player’s value is much easier to meet by United than Arsenal, so Wenger will have to forget about his transfer policies for a while and just sign the midfielder.
Gotze is not the only midfielder watched by the Gunners before the January transfer market opening. M’Vila, Marvin Martin and Marko Reus are also top targets for Arsenal, and to be truthful any of them would be an incredible acquisition for Wenger’s team.
