Arsenal’s defensive midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong will suffer consequences after he bent the FA rules by displaying a branded jersey after the Carling Cup clash against Manchester City. The incident happened right before the midfielder got into a clash with Arsenal’s former player Samir Nasri.
The FA forbids any advertising on brands which are not mentioned by them and Frimpong is likely to get himself a warning at least. There are no grounds for a suspension or a fine, but he will certainly get a warning for the incident.
The young midfielder displayed a t-shirt with the brand “DENCH” written on it. This is a brand at which Frimpong is in partnership with the rapper Lethal Bizzle.
Although he had an excellent game against Manchester City the incident with him and Nasri after the game seems to have startled Wenger who doesn’t agree with this behaviour.
