Wenger ups the stake for Dortmund’s wonderkid

Arsenal is expected to submit a large transfer fee in January for Borussia Dortmund’s attacking midfielder Mario Gotze after some unsuccessful bids in the summer, and according to The Mirror the bid will be somewhere around £30 million.

Gotze is one of the most wanted players on the market at the moment, but the irony is that the midfielder is not yet ready to leave Dortmund and join another club.

People expect him to join Arsenal if he does leave after a statement he gave a while back in which he was saying that he watches the Premier League matches every week and that he thinks Arsenal is playing the most interesting football and that they have the most interesting approach to football.

Due to all the fuss around the German wonderkid, Wenger wants to get an early start and he’s going to submit a big fee for him in January just to make sure he manages to pull in front of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Manchester United who are all trailing the 19-year-old.

Gotze could be an amazing addition to Arsenal’s squad and alongside Arteta and Wilshere the trio could make the likes of Nasri or Fabregas long forgotten.
