Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger will have to go against Tottenham and Napoli for the signature of 25-year-old midfielder Alejandro Faurlin from QPR.
The January transfer market opening promises to be a very interesting one, and The Mirror is stating that Arsenal could add another South American player to its squad after transferring Bazilian full-back Santos.
Argentine midfielder Alejandro Faurlin has been watched by Wenger for a possible transfer, and the player’s agent Lucas Cominelli confirmed the rumours.
“When the phone rings and there are two Premier League teams and one from Serie A expressing their admiration, it’s a testimony to the way Ali has started in the top flight.”, said the agent.
Wenger needs a new midfielder badly for the second half of the season, and he would ideally need one who could also play with Arsenal in the Champions League and this doesn’t give him much of a choice.
Probably the best midfielder out there available to play in the Champions League is Borussia Monchengladbach’s star Marco Reus who has impressed throughout the season, but Gladbach’s manager is unwilling to let the player go just yet.
