With the January transfer market opening fast approaching, Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger is now thinking of ways in which he can improve the team.
The Professor stated that a new striker is much needed at the club because Chamakh and Gervinho will leave for the African Cup of Nations, but now it seems that the Frenchman will have to bring in more than one striker because Russian star Andrey Arshavin is highly wanted and he’s becoming frustrated with the current situation at the club.
The Russian has been often sidelined since Ivorian winger Gervinho was brought in, and now Arshavin is searching for a way out in January. A previous statement of his says he would only accept an offer from his former club Zenit St Petersburg, but the Russian didn’t dismiss the possibility of joining some other European league as well.
Used mostly in Cup matches or games with no stake, Arshavin will probably even find it hard to get called up to the Russian national team if he will keep being a substitute at the club. What should the Russian winger do in your opinion?
