Spanish giants Real Madrid may ambush Arsenal’s interest in Mario Gotze’s services as January is almost here and teams are lining up to snatch Gotze.
The 19-year-old German attacking midfielder is one of the most sought after midfielders of the moment and he has managed to become a very important player for both his club Borussia Dortmund and the senior national squad.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal are the three Premiership teams interested in him, but from all three the Gunners showed the most interest and Wenger even submitted an offer in the summer.
Despite all the interest coming in from the Premiership, Gotze admitted that he’s more interested in moving to Spain where Real Madrid and Barcelona are trailing him.
With his former colleague Nuri Sahin now a part of Real Madrid’s squad after he signed a 6-year contract with the Bernabeu side in the summer, the balance tends to be in Real’s favour who could also offer a much better financial deal.
Sahin has been sidelined more often than not by an unlucky string of injuries and he’s still keeping in touch with his good friend Gotze, so he would play a great part in the transfer if it will ever happen.
