Arsenal and Tottenham go head-to-head for £20m hotshot striker

It has been reported this morning that Arsene Wenger and Harry Redknapp have decided to target the hotshot Lille striker, Moussa Sow, who scored 25 goals for the French Champions in just 36 games last season.

Lille already lost Gervinho to Arsenal last summer and are set to let Eden Hazard to leave for a fortune in the summer, so it looks like the club are looking for £20m for Sow to help towards their rebuilding process.

Arsenal are signing Thierry Henry on a short-term basis and are set to lose Marouane Chamakh in the summer, while Tottenham have little chance of extending the loan of Emmanuel Adebayor at the end of the season and will be in the market for a worthy replacement.

Gervinho has settled in well as a support striker at the Emirates (although he could always do with scoring more goals, and with Robin Van Persie likely to leave in the summer as well, Wenger (and Gervinho) may be keen to renew the partnership with Sow that brought Lille the Ligue 1 title last season.

But the final clincher for both clubs will be the chance to offer Sow Champions League Football next term, but if both qualify then Arsenal should be his favourite destination.
