Do Arsenal need more competition for Szczesny?

With the transfer window approaching soon and the French manager Arsene Wenger seems willing to change things up a bit and finally put Arsenal back where it deserves to be, so there might be massive changes at Arsenal in the summer.

Rumours have it that with goalkeeper Lukas Fabianski due to leave, the manager is also looking for somebody who can replace him, but instead of looking for a reserve for Szczesny, he’s looking for somebody who can be able to fight the Pole tooth and nail for the first team spot.

Fabianski has grown frustrated with the lack of playing time he had since his last injury which saw Szczesny move on the first place in Wenger’s eyes. Now Lukas is due to have a change in scenery and he’s not out of offers, being highly likely to leave in the summer.

According to the rumours, Wenger’s watching two of Europe’s goalkeepers. One of them is Swansea’s Michel Vorm, who has impressed this season and at the age of 28 he might be in for the most important switch of his career.
The other target is Bayern Leverkusen’s goalkeeper Rene Adler, who has had an excellent season despite his team’s downfall this year. This would be a good addition for the Gunners, but according to rumours they’ll first have to fight off interest from Hamburg SV.

Do you think that a new goalkeeper is needed at the club?
