Arsenal’s star winger Andrey Arshavin could still be looking for a departure from the Russian club this summer, as Zenit’s boss Luciano Spalletti seems to have grown an amazing interest in the 31-year-old.
Arshavin failed to impress at Arsenal, and now Arsene Wenger is looking to sell him and invest the money he would bring to the club, especially salary-wise, in another transfer.
For a while Andrey’s move to Russia seemed to be in danger after the few statements he has made regarding the Russian fans after the European Championship, but it seems that Spalletti is looking to keep the winger after the success he’s had last season.
‘He is one of the players who can strengthen Zenit. When a team win the league by almost 15 points you need to look for players like that.’ , the manager said.
Arsene Wenger has brought German star Lukas Podolski to the club, and for the moment the winger role is secure at the club with a load of very talented players like Gervinho, Walcott, Podolski, Chamberlain and Ryo.
What do you think Wenger should do with the money Arsenal are going to cash in for Arshavin?
