Ramsey Injury – Time For Wilshere, Cazorla And Rosicky To Step Up

Aaron Ramsey

Arsenal are waiting the result of the scan on the thigh injury Aaron Ramsey sustained in the 3-1 Boxing Day win against West Ham United. Arsenal fear that they will be without top scorer Aaron Ramsey for at least the next four weeks. Should the scan reveal a tear, then Ramsey could be out for six to eight weeks but Arsenal will be hoping that the injury is just a strain.

Whichever it is, Arsenal will still be without the in-form midfielder for sometime. Wenger has already confirmed that he will be out until the new year and that’s certainly a blow but the good thing is that Arsenal have players that are ready to step in to fill his void. Jack Wilshere will be keen to make amends after his horror showing against City that gifted the home side a goal and his awkward conduct that earned him suspension for 2 games. Arsenal can also call on Arteta and Rosicky to also fill the role.

Having him injured could allow him rest but Wenger will be hoping he isn’t forced to sit out for too long. Hopefully, his injury won’t be more than a couple of weeks rather than months.

Injury to Ramsey means other players have to step up. Ramsey hasn’t only done his fair share of midfield duties, winning the ball and making assists, he has also supplied goals that has aided Arsenal’s title push. Players like Wilshere, Cazorla and Rosicky will have to add goals to their game too now that Giroud seems to be struggling in front of goal.
