Arsenal are set to make a move for Newcastle forward Loic Remy in the summer according to a report by betting company BWIN. The OPR forward is on loan at St. James’ Park till June. Wenger has been linked with a move for him in the past and looks set to renew his interest in the summer. Arsenal currently have a recognised front man in Olivier Giroud and look set to sign another striker in the summer but it seems Wenger might be looking to loan a forward rather than an outright buy if his A-list striking options are unavailable.
Remy has been in fine form for Newcastle this season as he has accounted for 10 league goals out of the twenty nine goals the Magpies have scored so far this season. A move to Arsenal would certainly excite him as it would mean a return to Champions League stage, a big stage he last grazed while at Marseille.
He would be a cheaper option for Arsenal as he would certainly cost less than the current A-list strikers Wenger has been linked with a la Suarez, Costa and Martinez. Remy is valued at just £2m. His versatility also means that he can play in a plethora of roles, through the center as a center forward or on the wings as a winger. That way, he could be a like for like replacement for his compatriot Giroud or better still, play alongside him.
The news of Arsenal moving for him could be taken seriously as it was reported by bwin which is a huge betting company and as we all know betting companies always have insider information.
