Italian Giant’s Plight Could Help Arsenal Sign £40m Rated Attacker

AC Milan are currently placed eight on the Italian Serie A league table, which means they are unlikely to play in any of Europe’s club competitions next season. The implication of this is that a player like Mario Balotelli could become restless and try to force a move to another top European club like Arsenal who have been rumoured to be interested in his signature.

With 14 goals in 29 matches this season, club President Silvio Berlusconi has come out to criticize the 23 year old Italian international for not doing enough in terms of goal scoring. However, Arsenal and other interested clubs may not see it the same way Berlusconi is seeing it and could be set to lure the £40m rated attacker back to England in the summer.

Mario Balotelli is one of those highly rated players in Europe who may not find it too comfortable to watch other players play in Europe almost every week. A player like him is likely to say yes to a team like Arsenal should a bid be put in for him this summer. Arsenal as you already know could be playing in next season’s Champions League should they scale through the qualifying round.

Wenger needs a striker, and Balotelli is one that could fit in perfectly. Though, he is not one to shy away from courting troubles and controversies, the 23 year old Italian international is a nightmare for defenders and could improve our team next season.

With only one week left in the Italian Serie A, and Milan lying on the eight position on the table; getting into Europe next season seems like a big ask for the 7 times European Champions. Considering Balotelli’s history when it comes to unsettling the dressing room, Milan could be set to lose his services once the transfer window opens in less than two months from now.
