No Balotelli But Arsenal Can Sign Cavani, Marco Reus, Benzema Or Bony

On Balotelli not leaving

Italy and AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has been linked to Arsenal all summer with some reports that Arsene Wenger met with his Agent in Brazil.

The Serie A giant’s vice president Barbara Berlusconi has tended to add to the flame, when she opined that the Italian Striker was not irreplaceable.

But despite the links, there has been a twist to the speculations linking him to Arsenal. Italian journalist Jonathan Agnew, speaking to Talksports disputed these claims and speculation linking the 23 year old to Arsenal, when he claimed thus:

“I don’t think they are going to let him go.” It wouldn’t make sense he says.

Whether this is just a personal opinion or an insider information from the club remains to be seen.

However, if this turns out to be true, it only means that the fears expressed by some Arsenal fans in respect of which side of the Italian Arsenal might end up with as regards the excesses of the Italian striker will have to look away from it all and calm those fears.

In effect, it might just be a good turn of event for Arsenal because the club will not have to worry about the baggage’s that comes with the Italian.

This only means that Arsenal can firm up their interest in other targets such as Marcos Reus, Edinson Cavani, Wilfred Bony and Karim Benzema..

The French striker’s situation is particularly interesting for the reason that various strikers have been linked to Real Madrid as they seek to ‘ungrade’ on their strikers especially with reports linking Monaco and Colombian striker Radamel Falcao to the European Champions. This could open the door for Arsenal to bring in the French striker to North London.

Another player in this category, of possible target that have been linked to Arsenal, should  reports that Balotelli could end up staying in AC Milan, is the Chilean Alexis Sanchez. With the Spanish press linking Luis Suarez to Barcelona, it could further open a clear path for those at Highbury house to pursue the Chilean.

To this regard, there have been several reports to the effect that the Chilean’s agent has met with Arsene Wenger in Brazil.

The wish of every fan is to see that the club follows up all the speculations with a concrete signing that with lift the club. Although Mario Balotelli has divided opinions because of his antecedents, the possibility of Arsenal signing Alexis Sanchez or Karim Benzema should the Italian striker’s interest ends and will no doubt whet the appetite of Arsenal fans at the chance of seeing more world class players at the club.
