5 Players That Could Still Join Arsenal After Sanchez And Debuchy

The summer transfer business of the club so far as come as something of a surprise to many Arsenal fans, who are used to seeing major signings made in the last hours of the transfer window. But the signing of Alexis Sanchez by the club in early July is a strong departure from the previous ways the club has hitherto operated, and with the Mathieu Debuchy signing soon to be confirmed and the advanced talks for Javier Manquillo, what other players could Arsenal sign to move on this summer. Here are possibly five players the club can still sign this summer.

Although, the club has signed Alexis Sanchez, the Chilean comment as regards where Arsene Wenger intends to play him is still open to several permutations which make the importance of bringing in an out and out striker of necessity. Jackson Martinez represents an improvement on what the club currently has. He is pacy, physical and at 6ft 3in, he has the height to lead the line on his own. The 27 year old will definitely be a good addition. Speculation has been rife linking him to Arsenal. Martinez has expressed his desire to join Arsenal in an interview in the past. Although his £33.2 million buyout clause could be a stumbling block.

The PSG striker is another possible signing for the Gunners. Although it must be said that he has only spent just a season in Ligue 1. This would make signing him unlikely. But, with PSG willing to move for Real Madrid’s Angel Di Maria, there could an open door for the striker to move out from Paris especially as they will need to sell some players to balance the books and fall in line with FFP laws. However, his price could be a stumbling block. He moved from Napoli for £55 million last summer. What would be his price this time around?

There is a strong possibility that his signing could happen. He is available at a reasonable price,  little less than £10 million. The Queen Park Rangers striker, who scored 14 league goals on loan with Newcastle last season, can add versatility to Arsenal’s attack. He can play across the attacking third. He has the pace to trouble any defence. He will be a perfect plan B for us.

The Fiorentina winger had a good World Cup in Brazil where he was one of the stands out performer for the Colombian team. A player that is fleet footed and fast, but can be frustrating at times by holding on to the ball too long. There were reports that the club had a meeting with his agent in Brazil. This particular one remains on the scale of very unlikely though.

Arsenal needs a central midfielder or better still and holding midfielder. And the media has been a washed with speculations linking the Real Madrid midfielder to the Emirates. The 27 year old has just one year left on his contract and could be available for £24 million.

With the speculation linking him to the Emirates reaching overdrive, this could likely happen.
