If a report by Telegraph is to be believed, Arsenal are set to offer Jack Wilshere a new contract that will see him remain at Arsenal till he is 29-year-old. According to the report, Wilshere has only just two years left on his contract but Arsenal are not in the mood to lose him to their rivals and have opened talks with his representatives with a view of reaching an agreement on a new long term deal.
Manchester City and Bayern Munich have been linked to the signing of the player despite he missing the bulk of the last one year due to injury. Wilshere who will be representing England in France next month in the European Championship has always been appreciated by both Arsenal fans and neutrals but as a result of injuries, he has not been able to fulfill his initial promise.
He will hope to have a good Championship in France and build on that next season. Certainly, next season will be a key season in his career as at 24 years, he is not young any more.
