Arsenal To Spend €100m Before June, Morata Set To Be 2nd Summer Signing

Judging by the intensity of the media reports in recent times, Arsenal is surely going to be active in this summer’s transfer window. The transfer window officially opens on June one but the Gunners have already signed their first player in Granit Xhaka.

Wenger is however not stopping at just Granit Xhaka, reports from Italy claim the Gunners have made an official bid of €50 million for Juventus forward Alvaro Morata. Morata although a Juventus player, Real Madrid have a clause inserted in his contract that enables them re-sign the player for a fixed amount of money.

And when Madrid activates the buy back clause in Morata’s contract, they intend to sell him to Arsenal and Arsenal have over the weekend tabled an offer of €50 million for the player which has neither been accepted or rejected by Real Madrid.

Although it is said that Juventus have offered Real Madrid an extra €8 million to remove the buy back clause, it is not enough for Madrid to reject Arsenal’s offer as that gives them more profit.

From all indication, if the media reports are true thats, Morata will be playing in Arsenal colours come next season. He may not be worth the quoted €50 million price tag but he is certain more mobile than Giroud and with Ozil giving him easy goal scoring chances, he is certainly going to score more than Giroud.
