Arsenal will later today announce the signing of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach if an official statement on the club’s official twitter account is anything to go by. Although the club has not directly said they will announce the signing of the Switzerland international, they however asked the fans to look forward to the unveil of the club’s playing kits for next season and it is expected that they will at the same time announce their latest signing.
The official statement released on twitter by Arsenal reads thus;

Xhaka was reportedly in London on Friday to undergo medical with Arsenal which is apparently successful as there are already leaked images of the player in Arsenal shirt undergoing his photo shots.
Xhaka will be signing for Arsenal in a deal said to be worth an initial £30 million but will raise to £35 million based on his performance in Arsenal colours. If this figures are correct, he will become Arsenal’s third ever highest signing behind Mesut Ozl ( £42.5m ) and Alexis Sanchez ( £35 million ).
The signing of Xhaka could lead to Francis Coquelin been reduced to a second fiddle player. It will however remain to be seen how the fight for a starting shirt between Coquelin and Xhaka will span out.
