According to Calciomercato.com Arsenal have beaten London rivals Chelsea to the signing of Spanish and Juventus forward Alvaro Morata. Arsenal Wenger sees the former Real Madrid striker as a perfect first eleven player and is convinced that his £155,000 per week salary will tempt the striker to put pen to the deal.
Morata though still 23, has played with the best player’s in the world (the likes of Karim Benzema, Christiano Ronaldo, Andre Pirlo and Paul Pogba) at both Real Madrid and Juventus. The striker is a keen admirer of the Premier League but a move to Chelsea in the summer might be far from reality as he isn’t ready to play for a team
that can’t guarantee him Champions League football next season which tilts the balance in Arsenal’s favour.
This doesn’t mean his signing is an easy task as Juventus are interested in making his move permanent this summer but cannot compete with Arsenal when it comes to the player’s wages. Though the summer is still a long way from today it is highly unlikely Arsenal will come up with his release clause before the end of the summer transfer.
It is believe Arsenal’s reported €50 million offer made to Real Madrid for the player will be enough to get the deal done and unless Juventus comes up with a more tempting offer, the player will become an Arsenal player before June 10.
