While Newcastle United fans are yet to recover from the disappointment of playing Championship football next season, that has not deterred the likes of Arsene Wenger from targeting and identifying the clubs players such as Moussa Sissoko for a summer transfer.
According to Daily Telegraph, Sissoko is among a few Newcastle players whose futures might lie outside the Championship. Sissoko is a French international with 28 caps and impressed last season when the rest of the players flattered to deceive. The French man’s ability to play in wide areas and central midfield has seen him win
admirers in every English club.
Also worthy of note is his ability to shoot, tackle and distribute the recovered ball. After joining in 2013 from Toulouse, the midfielder has spent three years at the club often fighting relegation every season before the club’s relegation this season. The player though isn’t a goal scoring midfielder as his 11 goals in 117 league games illustrates but this did not stop new manager Rafa Benitez from handing him the Captain’s arm band this season.
It is rumoured that Newcastle will demand £20 million for the French man which Wenger might be reluctant to pay after signing Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka last week for £35 million. Also expected to leave Newcastle is Dutch man Daryl Janmaat who was arguable Newcastle’s best player of the season. The Dutch man will join any club which meets Newcastle’s £10 million valuation of him as Juventus are rumoured to be tabling a bid but a reluctant to bid the required £10 million instead tabling £5 million.
