£80,000-A-Week To Be Paid, Alvaro Morata To Become A Gunner

After completing the signing of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach, Arsenal are set to bring in a centre back and a striker according to many reliable reports. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is said to have his eyes firmly fixed on signing Alvaro Morata from Juventus.

The player who is technically a Juventus player is said to have agreed a deal with Arsenal despite Chelsea reportedly offering him more money. Obviously the lack of Champions league football at Chelsea has pushed the player to Arsenal. PSG and Manchester City were also said to be interested in the player.

Arsenal will however wait till June 5 before the deal is announced according to the reports. According to football leaks document released earlier in March, Real Madrid cannot make any deal official until June 5 as Juventus retain a match right to any deal.

The Turin club has been linked with a move for Edinson Cavani as the replacement for Morata which means they are not thinking of ever matching Arsenal’s bid for the Spaniard.

Aside Morata, Arsenal also have also been linked with the signing of Kostas Manolas from As Roma. The powerful centre back is reported seen as the long term replacement for Per Mertesacker who could leave the club at the end of his contract by June 2017.
