€50m Bid ACCEPTED – Arsenal To Unveil Signing Of Alvaro Morata

If reports from Spain today are to be believed, Arsenal will unveil the signing of Alvaro Morata after the Champions League final this weekend. The reports claim Real Madrid has accepted Arsenal’s €50 million offer for the player and after waiting for Juventus and or other clubs to match the Gunners bid, with no one else coming close to offering 50 million, the striker will be allowed to join Arsenal.

Morata’s agent had earlier this week confirmed Madrid will activate the buy back clause in his client’s contract and then resell him. The agent went further to say Arsenal have made a concrete offer for the player and he is already considering move to the England this summer.

With the new report claiming the deal is done, it appears the agent was three days ago hinting at the move rather than been categorical about it which is normal considering Arsenal likes doing their deals secretly. This much was confirmed by Granit Xhaka who said Arsenal forced him to keep quite about the deal.

This deal if it happens will be odd considering most times when the media intensely reports a story, it means Arsenal are deliberately using the press men to divert attention to their main target. Recall when we thought we will be signingin Di Maria whereas the target was Mesut Ozil?
