Arsenal are ready to make a surprise move for the duo of Inter Milan’s Croatian Midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and Colombian defender Jeison Murillo. Arsenal plan to take advantage of the Seria A club’s financial problems and offer an excess of £45 million for the two players.
Inter are desperate to raise £39 million in the coming weeks in order to avoid sanctions from UEFA regarding it’s Financial Fair Play rules of which a failure will lead to the club being sanctioned and banned. This might mean that Inter will sell-off certain players to raise the needed funds.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal see Brozovic as an ideal player for the North London club having tried so much to sign him during his days at Dinamo Zagreb. The Gunners are said to be ready to make a £26 million bid for his services. Arsene Wenger is ready to sign another midfielder for his team after the latest signing of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Mochengladbach and with the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Mohammed El’Neny, Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla in the team.
The signing of the Croatian may also be linked with the news of the purported departures of the likes of Matthieu Flamini, Calum Chambers and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain who are on the brink of a summer move away from the Emirates. Also not to be ruled out is the North London club’s signing of Jeison Murillo for £19 million after impressing in his debut season at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. The Colombian was signed last season from Udinese.
