In the last few days, Arsenal have been linked with the signing of highly rated Dortmund and Armenia international midfielder/attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan. According to various reports, the Armenian has refused Dortmund’s offer of a new contract and unless Dortmund chooses to sell him now, they will have to lose him on a free transfer in 2017.
However, three days ago, Kicker revealed that Dortmund have had a change of heart and will be ready to sell the player. And to further buttress the report by Kicker, Dortmund have since gone on to sign Emre Mor and Sebastian Rode who are likely replacement for Mkhitaryan. From all indication, Dortmund are already prepared for his exit.
By signing Sebastian Rode and Emre Mor, Dortmund have already replaced Mkhitaryan and it could mean Kicker’s report was right after all. Coupled with the report in the English press that Arsenal most senior deal maker Dick Law flew to Germany over the weekend to get the deal done.
Dick Law flying to Germany couldn’t have been to hold talks with Wolfsburg for the signing of Ricardo Rodriguez who we have also been linked with as the Switzerland international has a release clause which means if anything, we simply have to activate his release clause and then hold talks with the player himself and considering he is in France with Switzerland, there is no point going to Germany. Dick Law must have flown to Germany for Mkhitaryan.
