If you believe reports from Spain this evening, Arsenal are back in the running for Alvaro Morata and the Gunners are looking to quickly get the deal done. Arsenal were initially thought to have abandoned the move for Alvaro Morata after they triggered the release clause of Jamie Vardy but with Vardy still indecisive, Arsenal are said to have moved to make sure they do not lose on two fronts. They will now reportedly announce the deal in days as talks have progressed earlier today.
Alvaro Morata is technically a Juventus player but Real Madrid are said to be ready to buy him back from Juventus and will then sell him to the highest bidder with Los Blancos said to be wanting 50 million for their youth team product.
Arsenal manager is known to be a big fan of Morata. Arsenal were in fact linked with the signing of the Spaniard before he went to Juventus. Everyone thought he was on the way to Arsenal but the Gunners didn’t want to let Real Madrid insert a buy back clause in the player’s contract, a clause Juventus were open to allowing Real Madrid insert in his contract hence he went to Italy.
That move by Juventus is now proving not to be a smart one and the player could well be plying his trade in England with Arsenal at the beginning of the 2016/2017 season.
