While many Arsenal fans have been disappointed by the behaviour of Leicester City’s forward Jamie Vardy, the Sheffield born player has added insult to injury by uploading a picture of the Premier League title celebration of Leicester City on his twitter account.
This is coming after news filtered in that Arsenal had discussed with his representatives who encouraged the club that the forward was ready to move to the Emirates and that all that needed to be done was to table a bid of £20 million which would trigger his release clause , thus allowing him move to Arsenal.
This was not to be as Arsenal were once again informed by the same representative of the player that he was not in a rush to move to North London as he expected to make a decision on his future after the Euro’s this summer. Arsenal were left infuriated as the forward had made a fool of them after they appeared confident he will make the move before the tournament.
Although the Gunners also agreed personal terms with the player which includes a weekly pay of £120,000, this in turn drove Leicester to offer the 29-year -old a new contract of £100,000 to match that of the Gunners.
With the new picture on the player’s twitter account, it means he hasn’t come over the excitement of winning the Premier League and might have decided to stay back at Leicester next season.
