Henrikh Mkhitaryan will become a Gunner this summer if the reports from the German media is anything to go by. With just one year left on his contract with Dortmund and refusing to sign a new contract with Dortmund, there is a real chance that Dortmund will be forced to sell the player. And this much has been confirmed by director Michael Zorc.
Speaking to BILD, Michael Zorc was quoted as saying; “We will make a decision this week!”
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with the signing of the player but he has himself confirmed many times that he will like to play for Arsenal and with both Chelsea and Manchester United not playing in the Championship next season, Arsenal have a massive chance of signing the Armenian.
Mkhitaryan scored 19 goals and created 24 assists in 42 matches for Dortmund in all competition last season. Such was his wonderful performance that he was voted the best player in the Bundesliga last season.
Dortmund are said to be ready to accept an offer of at least €30 million for the player but have not yet fully decided if they want to sell him or keep him and let him go on a free transfer when his contract expires in 2017.
