The representative of Arsenal target Henrikh Mkhitaryan has announced that his client wants to join English premier League giant Manchester United this transfer market.
German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund announced last night that the Armenia international has refused to extend his contract at the German club club despite the fact that his current contract will expire next summer.
Borussia Dortmund should is expected to now cash in heavily on the Armenian International, or else, they will have to lose him to free transfer next summer.
The former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder have been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal lately, but the representative of the player has revealed he wants to move to Manchester United. The same agent also represents Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The players agent Mino Raiola according to German outlet Sport1 said,
‘Manchester United is a unique opportunity,’ ‘Micki wants to go there.’
The German side Borussia Dortmund yesterday confirmed that after months of negotiations with the player, Mkhitaryan confirmed he did not want to extend his deal at the club.
Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke revealed ‘For four months the club have been negotiating with Mkhitaryan, over whether or not he wants to extend with us.’
‘Now we know that he will not extend his current deal.’
This might be the agents plot to have the Armenian international sign for United, as the player had earlier expressed his interest in signing for Arsenal. This latest development will come as a shock to Arsenal Faithfull’s who believe that Arsenal is in the pole position to sign the player because of Uefa champions league opportunity with Arsenal.
