According to reports in Turkey, Turkish side Besiktas have set their sights on out of favoiur Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy.
The right-back spent the second half of last season on loan with French side Bordeaux but managed just nine Ligue one appearances before suffering injury setback.
Debuchy is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and missed out on Didier Deschamps’ France squad for on-going European championship. The full back is under contract with the Gunners until June 2019 but has slipped down the pecking order and is now second choice to Hector Bellerin.
Besiktas are prepared to offer Debuchy an escape route from the Emirates this summer claimed Turkish newspaper Sabah.
Report says Besiktas is asking for an initial year-long loan with the option to buy the France international next summer.
Debuchy revealed in February that he wasn not sure about his future at the Emirates, highlighting the fact that Bellerin has taken his place in the squad.
“A future at Arsenal? It’s difficult because there’s a young guy who’s 20 in my position who is playing good matches,” he said.
Debuchy has made only 12 Premier League appearances for Arsenal since joining the club in 2014 from Newcastle.
it is best Debuchy is allowed to go especially as Bellerin seems a better player and there is no point
keeping a 80,000 pounds a week player on the bench.
