Judging by various reports from the Spanish media today, Arsenal may be on the verge of announcing the signing of yet another striker after the completion of the signing of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Dortmund and Nigeria youth international Kelechi Nwakali. Arsenal have reportedly accepted the valuation of Albania international Elseid Hysaj after it was increased from £11.6m after learning of interest from two Spanish giants.
According to French website Le10Sport, Arsenal has not given up on their pursuit of the player , despite reported interest from Spanish giants Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
The two La Liga sides are said to be strongly interested in the 22-year-old, with Barcelona particularly keen to secure the deal to replace veteran right-back Dani Alves who is on his way out of Camp Nou.
Barcelona Officials have supposedly pen down Arsenal’s Hecotr Bellerin as another candidate to replace outgoing veteran Brazilian Dani Alves.
Hysaj’s agent believes the player joining the Emirates Stadium club would be a sideways step for the player.
Mario Giuffredi told Radio Crc “I consider Arsenal to be on the same level as Napoli, certainly not better,”.
“Napoli has become one of the most important clubs in Europe.”
Hysaj who is currently representing his nation in France, at the ongoing European championship has played all three games for Albania at Euro 2016. Their 1-0 win over Romania Sunday night stands them in with a chance of qualifying for the last-16 in France.
