With Leicester city striker Jamie Vardy’s deal to the Emirates still in the air, Arseanl manager Arsene Wenger is looking for a possible replacement for injured former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck who has been ruled out for nine months due to a knee injury.
Arsenal has reportedly joined the race to sign Fulham striker Moussa Dembele, this is according to The ESPN.
ESPN claims the Gunners are ready to sign the Frenchman who will be out of contract at Fulham at the end of the month. It has also been claimed that Dembele is frustrated and wants to leave as he has turned down a new contract deal offered to him at Craven Cottage.
Dembele, 19, has attracted top European clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Liverpool, Juventus, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce and have frequently sent scouts to monitor his developments.
Dembele has Scored 15 goals and assisted 7 times in 43 Championship games, averaging a goal every 224 minutes.
It was also reported that Dembele almost joined Tottenham Hotspur during the winter transfer window, but the move fell through at the last minute.
Chelsea reportedly invited Dembele to watch their clash with Manchester City in April as a guest of the club.
