Just few days ago it was announced that Arsenal has released the trio of Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and Mathiue Flamini from the club. Many Arsenal fans were hoping Arteta would remain at the club as a coach, unfortunately, the Spaniard has reportedly agreed a deal to work as part of the backroom staff at Manchester City under new boss Pep Guardiola.
The 34-year-old is believed to have turned down offers from both Tottenham and Arsenal so as to link up with his old friend, who he grew up with in the Barcelona academy.
Reports from The Mirror states that a declaration is pending, yet the news has been noticeable all around since the last day of the season.
His new role will see him work close to Guardiola as part of his coaching team, and additionally will be a key figure inside the Citizen’s their ever-growing academy.
