2nd Summer Signing? Arsenal In Three Way Battle For £65,000-A-Week Star

According to reports from England, Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid have identified Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante as their potential summer signing.

Though it was initially the Premier League duo who expressed an interest to sign the defensive midfielder before the European tournament, Real Madrid transfer chief’s have been impressed with the impressive tournament performances of the former Caen anchor man was signed for a mere £4.3 million last summer.

Leicester City are desperate to hold unto their star man who acts as their defensive shield, although this will be difficult to do considering that the French International has a release clause of £20 million in his contract. Kante has also been linked with Arsenal who were then the favourites to sign him but such links have cooled down after the North London club signed another defensive midfielder (Granit Xhaka) for £33 million from Borussia Monchengladbach last month.

Arsenal looks like Kante’s next destination considering his style suits the Gunners but for this to happen then Arsenal need to abandon their old style of being linked with every player and not following the rumours with an official reasonable bid. This has made Arsene Wenger lose out on such stars like Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ( Borussia Dortmund) and Luis Suarez (Liverpool).
