Wenger is reportedly excited about reinforcing his squad this summer and is hoping to sign various quality players. The French man as of late finished the signing of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach for £33m and has additionally triggered the £20m release clause of Jamie Vardy however, the Arsenal boss is not halting there as he is set to bring in more players this summer.
As indicated by Kickoff, Arsenal now appear to been in the chase for 24-year-old Brazilian and Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho and are set to offer Aaron Ramsey as bait to get the Brazilian to the Emirates.
This is absurd somewhat, why would Arsene Wenger be chasing a player who plays at left half of the midfield or through the center which are positions that the Gunners are very much stocked with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil respectively.
Having said that, it is not to say Coutinho won’t bring competition in the Gunners set-up but which player is ready to forfeit a first team appearance to struggle for another.
Ramsey is more versatile than Coutinho as he can play on the left or right side of the pitch for Arsenal.
Though, one might want to understand that Wenger wants varieties to choose from in his team having been connected with players like Mkhitaryan and Mahrez in recent times.
We wait to see how this deal pans out.
