With the signing of Granit Xhaka done, Arsenal fans are constantly looking in the blogs, social media pages of journalists and different websites for the latest in the Arsenal transfer window.
Unfortunately, one of Arsenal’s main target for this summer is now on his way to signing for one of our rivals. According to report, Manchester United has reached an agreement to sign Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan for £26.3million.
According to Sky Sports, the 27-year-old playmaker will undergo medical at Old trafford within the next week.
It is believed that both parties has already agreed personal terms after talks reached an advanced stage on Sunday night.
The signing of Mkhitaryan by Manchester United will be regarded as a major achievement, as he is a highly sort after player, after a sensational season that ended with him being voted the German Bundesliga player of the year by respected German publication Kicker.
The Armenian international’s Dortmund contract expires in the next 12 months, which has prompted interest from a string of top European clubs including Emirate giant Arsenal and Serie A champions Juventus.
The Armenian had a brilliant season for Dortmund, scoring 23 goals and supplying an incredible 32 assists in 52 matches in all competitions. In the league alone, he scored 11 times and provided 20 assists from 31 games.
It’s so unfortunate that yet again, Arsene Wenger has refused to move swiftly, and has once again failed to land the striker. Arsenal’s trophy less streak could continue for many years, unless the club understands they need to pay well for good players.
