£34m BID ACCEPTED, Medical Scheduled, Arsenal Target Agrees To Sign

Arsenal are increasingly getting out of signing options in the attacking department. With Vardy deciding to remain at Leicester and Mkhitaryan on the way to Manchester United, Arsenal are now at the risk of getting disappointed once again.

Reports today claim Southampton striker, Sadio Mane who has been linked with a move to Arsenal is set for Liverpool medical after £34m fee was agreed by both clubs – BBC Radio Solent believes.

He has been linked with a move to Arsenal  recently. Report this as Arsenal missing out on yet another target.  Discuss why Mane would have been a good replacement for Theo Walcott  on the right wing. Hint that just like last summer, Arsenal might end  up falling short of expectations yet again

Sadio Mane who was linked heavily to Arsenal a week ago after Jamie Vardy’s deal failed through, has made a U turn to join Liverpool after the Gunners failed to officially place a bid on the Striker.

The Gunners was reported to be preparing a £35m bid for the Southampton striker last week, which never came to reality.

Mane was a more realistic target for the Gunners to fill up the position of a Striker at the Emirates, but the Gunners again this summer is missing out on their target as the player is believed to be heading towards Liverpool for a medical on Monday.

The Senegalese forward would have been a perfect replacement for Theo Walcott who is being chased by Liverpool. Saido Mane is a very strong forward with pace as well and will make a good partner with Giroud in the attacking department for the Gunners.

Mane made 43 appearances, scored a total of 15 goals and nine assist in all competitions for the Saints last season.

This summer’s transfer is looking more like the previous year, when Arsene Wenger was on the ‘verge’ of getting every well known name, but did not get any of them at the end of the day.

The Gunners might as well again fall short of expectations next season if Granit Xhaka is the only player Arsene can secure this summer.
