Despite the fact this is probably not the striker news Arsenal faithful’s want to be hearing, but it seems pretty legit anyways.
North London club Arsenal has made an official approach for 21-year-old Sanfrecce Hiroshima striker, Takuma Asano according to a breaking report in Japan on Wednesday afternoon.
Takuma Asano has already made his senior debut for the Japanese national team, at a young age. The youngster is viewed as a top quality prospect for the future.
The Japanese wonder kid is reportedly available for a fee of £2.2m, and given Arsene Wenger’s obsession with young talent, quality and ‘value’ in the market, this is already looking like a potential Arsenal signing.
The player himself has informed the board at Sanfrecce Hiroshima of Arsenal’s interest and his intention to leave the Japanese club and join the Emirate club, according to news coming from Japanese outlet Sanyo News.
Asano, 21, is a highly rated youngster who has 20 goals in 75 games for his club, as well as one goal in four games for the Japan national team.
Arsenal have also been linked with more experienced strikers like Islam Slimani, having failed in their attempt to lure England international striker Jamie Vardy from rivals Leicester City to North London.
