Arsene Wenger has refused to talk about rumors linking the Emirate club with Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette. The London club suffered a setback in their Vardy pursuit, With the England international rejecting a possible move to the Emirate and instead signing a new long-term deal at the King Power stadium. The Gunners boss has since had to look elsewhere for a goal poacher and could test the resilience of Lyon by bidding for Lacazette, who is valued at around £45m by his club.
Wenger who appeared on French TV station Canal + Sport was asked about whether he would be interested in making a possible move for Lacazette, but the Frenchman was coy in his response and left the situation open to suggesting a transfer could well happen this summer transfer window.
Arsenal have, however, been linked with a move for a number of other top players including Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain and Gabonese Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
