Argentina and Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi is being linked with a move to Arsenal as the Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger attempts to bolster his attack, but the boss man would now face competition for North London rivals Tottenham hotspurs.
Tottenham hotspurs are reportedly preparing a £38m bid to beat London rivals Arsenal to the signature of Icardi, according to the Sunday Express.
Spurs boss Pochettino is believed to be keen on signing a top striker this summer transfer window, and after missing out on several other targets, he will now do whatever it takes to sign the Inter Milan captain.
North London rival Spurs have already sent representatives to discuss with the agent of the Argentine striker and have already indicated their willingness to pay a transfer fee of £38m according to Italian transfer guru David Amoyal.
It’s believed that London rivals Arsenal and West Ham are also interested in signing the striker but it is yet to be known how much Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would be willing to pay for the services of the Argentine.
His Italian club Inter Milan, could decide not to sell Icardi this summer, as the striker played a pivotal role in Roberto Mancini’s squad last season and scored 16 goals in 33 games.
Wenger should do all he can to sign the striker ahead of Tottenham, should Inter Milan be tempted to sell the talented striker that has all it takes to develop into one of the best strikers in the world.
