One of the most spoken about English Premier League striker this transfer season Romelu Lukaku has been linked with London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.
The Belgian was originally acquired by Everton from Chelsea back in 2014, following a loan spell a year before, Lukaku done so well to play himself into the top table of transfer discussions.
Since joining Evertoon, the 23 years old Belgium international has scored 43 goals in 104 games and has sealed himself as one of the club’s most important players. His sensational performances and goals coring form have also made him a prime target for top clubs, most especially London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal.
Rumours started linking him to the London clubs after conclusion of the domestic league season, and Everton’s principal investor, Farhad Moshiri, now slapped a huge £75 million price tag on the big striker and according to the Express, he will not be sold.
The price tag is thought to discourage possible suitors from approaching Everton for Lukaku, Moshiri has very publicly put up a ‘not for sale’ sign at the doors of Goodison Park.
It seems the Blues will no longer need him anymore, after capturing his international team mate Michy Batshuayi, instead.
That now leaves the Gunners, keen on Lukaku for his goalscoring abilities and with not much signings completed thus far, apart from the signing of Swiss international Granit Xhaka. Japanese Takuma Asanohas apparently agreed terms with the North London club.
It is a signing of Lukaku’s kind of striker that fans will want to see as the boss builds a side capable of challenging for the Premier League crown this coming season
