According to reports from German, Arsenal will in a couple of days complete the signing of German international Mario Gotze from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
Reports earlier last month claimed that Arsenal Wenger has sighted the former Borussia Dortmund star as a potential signing this summer transfer window and he is set to do what it takes to get the Germany world cup star.
According to the media, Mario Gotze is seen as an upgrade on Arsenal winder Theo Walcott and with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich signing Renato Sanches, the German is no longer needed by Bayern Munich.
Premier League rivals, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked with the Germany international attacker; reports indicate the player prefers a move to a champion’s league playing club. Reports in the media today however indicate that the Gunners have had a bid accepted by Bayern Munich for the attacker.
Arsenal having had a bid accepted are believed to have been given the permission to discuss terms with the player after the European championship and should both Arsenal and Gotze agree on personal terms, he will undergo a medical and if successful, he will become an Arsenal player.
This will come as good news good news for Arsenal faithful’s if it is indeed true. Signing the world cup hero will give the Gunners options in attack, in the midfield and on both flanks. The player’s versatility will be useful to the Gunners when there are injuries.
