The Gunners will have to ensure they pull off the right deals this transfer window, if they are to compete favourably with their Premier League rivals.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has announced he is hoping to sign 2 more top players, having captured Switzerland international midfielder Granit Xhaka, and young Japanese striker Takuma Asano for the North London club.
Here, we take a look at three possible transfers that Wenger will want to complete as soon as possible. This is necessary to give them enough time to join the rest of the squad for a heavy pre-season.
1 – Alexandre Lacazette
Former Manchester united striker Danny Welbeck is set to be out for a further eight months due to an ankle injury, this has made it necessary for Wenger to sign a top striker, which Lacazette.
Lacazette is the kind of striker Arsenal are looking for and at just 25years of age, his best is yet to come.
With his lethal eye for goal when given half an opportunity, shows that he is a better striker than Arsenals current No 9.
The Coast looks clear for Arsenal to sign their preferred target striker, as their rivals have all landed their preferred summer targets.
2 – Rob Holding
The 20-year-old signing will be much like the signing of Japanese Asano this is not the mega star that will walk straight into the first team.
The youngster was named Bolton’s Player of the Year last season, despite bolton’s dismal campaign, Holding stood tall in their Defence.
The centre back is expected to cost the Gunners around £1.5million plus add-ons, but it seems his club are holding out for at least £5million, and are set to cash in heavily on their star man.
Should the deal eventually go through, it as one of the senior signings that the boss revealed he was after.
3 – Ricardo Rodriguez
The full back, if eventually signed has the much needed quality to make the first team and set the English Premier League ablaze.
The left-back who has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, valued at £21million is best friends with Arsenal’s latest recruit Xhaka, and the Swiss is set to play pivotal role in having the defender sign for Arsenal.
