With doubts hanging on the head of Ramsey and Wilshere, it is not a surprise that Arsenal have been linked with the signing of yet another midfielder. French man Blaise Matuidi is ready to leave Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain this summer transfer window for around £22m and the Gunners are among the clubs he’d be glad to join, according to talkSPORT.
The France international midfielder moved to Paris Saint-Germain from Saint-Etienne in 2010 and has since become one of Europe’s top midfielders over the past five years with his sensational midfield performances helping PSG secure the treble on three occasions.
With Polish star Grzegorz Krychowiak joining PSG last weekend, it’s been suggested that Matuidi will have to seek his future somewhere else as he’s not believed to be in new manager Unai Emery’s plans next season.
Matuidi has been given permission to leave the French training camp to fly to England to discuss transfer agreement with Premier League club Manchester United over a possible move to Old Trafford, according to the Express earlier in the week.
According to talkSPORT , Matuidi is open to joining any of the top Premier League sides, including Arsenal, as United are yet to table a formal offer for the player.
Arsenal currently have six talented players in the midfield position, and unless one of them leave this summer, I doubt Wenger will make any move for Matuidi.
