Arsenal fans are no strangers to being linked with almost every available target in every transfer window considering their side’s Premier league trophy drought and inability to see out games when they matter. Arsenal has been recently linked with Moussa Sissoko during the close season but latest report indicates he won’t be heading to the Emirates this season.
Sissoko who is currently enjoying one of the best spells of his life with his International side following their qualification for the Euros final. Sissoko endured a torrid time at Newcastle last season, as his club got relegated from the Premier League. Sissoko’s desire to continue to play top English football next season had led to many thinking that he would be an easy target for Wenger.
Sissoko has who always made his desire to play for Arsenal no secret and it was believed that he had made a come and get me plea to Wenger. But latest reports indicate that he has reportedly dealt Arsenal a transfer blow – by saying he would prefer a move to Liverpool than the Emirates.
Sissoko will be surplus requirements to Arsenal with available options like Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil, Santi Carzola, Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin. Sissoko’s decision to join Liverpool will have to do with the depth and quality of Arsenal’s midfield as he is well aware he won’t be able to break into the first team.
