£29m BID ACCEPTED, Arsenal To ANNOUNCE Yet Another Signing

Arsenal are on the verge of completing yet another transfer deal if various reports in the press today are anything to go by. And the said player is no other person than Ardan Turan. Barcelona are set reduce their transfer fee for Arda Turan according to the Sun.

The reports claims that the Turkish international is up for sale and that the Catalans are willing to take a loss on their playmaker to free up the wage bill following the arrival of Denis Suarez from Villareal.

The 29-year-old joined the La Liga champions on a £29 million fee last summer from Atletico Madrid and the Turk still have another four-years remaining on his contract with Barca.

The winger missed the first half of the season with the Spanish club due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on them but he managed 25 appearances since the turn of the year.

Barcelona gaffer Luis Enrique did use the Turk throughout the second half of the season but over the course of the 810 minutes of La Liga he played, he was not given a starting role in key games.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is said to see Turan as an upgrade on Theo Walcott

The Gunners will however, face strong competition from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund as well as his country clubs Galatasaray and Fernerbahce for Turan’s signature.

The Turkish midfielder has won every domestic title in Spain and Turkey as well as European competitions trophies except the Champions League though he did reach the final with Atletico Madrid.
