According to Daily Mail’s Simon Jones, Arsenal target Julian Draxler had informed Bundesliga club Wolfsburg that he wants to depart the German club this summer.
Wolfsburg will allow the Germany international midfielder to leave the club for a fee in the region of £52million and it’s unknown if Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be set to pay Wolfsburg’s asking price for the player, according to Jones.
Draxler, 22, is currently on vacation after his national side’s elimination from this summer’s Euro 2016, and it should be easier for him to conclude every formalities of a move if terms are agreed between any suitor and Wolfsburg.
Wolfsburg will be without European football next season courtesy of their poor season last term, which has led to talk of their priced asstes such as Draxler and Andre Schurrle leaving the Bundesliga club.
The German contributed immensely in Germany’s passage to the semi-finals of the European championship, starting four of Germany’s matches and earning the man of the match award for his goal scoring display in a 3-0 win over Slovakia.
Daily Mail reporter believes that the German club have already tabled a move for Serie A ctriker Simone Zaza if they do lose Draxler and Andre Schurrle or either of them.
