Arsenal goalkeeper is set on a move to join AS Roma on a season-long loan this week, after the two club has agreed to a potential deal for the Polish goalkeeper.
The Poland international goalkeeper spent the whole of the last year in Rome and became an integral member of the side as the club finished the top four and are set for another campaign in the UEFA Champions League.
However, it’s still remains unclear whether the goalkeeper would remain in Italy after they completed the permanent signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker earlier this summer, but the 22-year-old did reveal in a news conference that he would expect to face stiff competition from Wojciech Szezeny – a hint that the deal has been agreed for some time.
According to source from the Italian outlet II Tempo, it says the two sides have agreed deal for Szczesny to rejoin the Italian club for another season, with Roma set to pay a €1m loan fee, while they will split his wages for the upcoming campaign.
Additionally, the load deal is also said to include a clause that could the Italian club being able to buy Szczesny for €15m, should they choose to.
