Arsenal summer target Gonzalo Higuain has completed his move to Juventus from Napoli to Italian rivals Juventus on a four-year deal for a fee understood to be worth £75.3m.
The Argentine forward has penned a four-year deal contract with the Old Lady’s contract worth £6.3m per year that will keep the Argentine at the club until 2020, according to reports from Sky Sports.
At £75.3m move, this makes the forward the third most expensive footballer in history – behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
The move has bounced Neymar out the third spot who moved to Barcelona for a club record £71.5m.
We have been extensively linked with the 28-year-old forward but the high-asking fee for him proved too much for the Gunners.
The trending news now is that the Old Lady’s have paid his full release clause after he has completed his medical in Madrid on Friday.
However, once the clubs have confirmed his deal, Higuain transfer will become the most expensive deal in Serie A transfer history.
Higuain move is set to replace Alvaro Morata who has had returned to Santiago Bernabeu earlier last month after the Champions League winner activated his buyback clause.
He netted 36 goals in 35 appearances during the last campaign, which proved to be an impressive record. I’m sure he will provide a more than suitable replacement to the Spanish international.
