Personally, I never really expected the forward deal to turn into a bidding war, just because Icardi isn’t that big name guy that should invoke a stupid bidding war. The 23-year-old still has more to offer, thought he only bagged 16 league goals last season.
Reports from Football-Italia are claiming Napoli will submit their final €50m bid for our target Mauro Icardi plus Manolo Gabbiadini.
He was only recently linked with Napoli in light of Gonzalo Higuaín’s recent exit to Juventus, while the forward as has asked the club for an improvement to his current contract even though he only signed a new deal during the last campaign.
Partenopei have mammoth funds available at their hands after Gonzalo Higuain joined their Italian rival club Juventus for €90m, and are set to secure the service of the Argentine to fill the void left by his compatriot.
The Nerazzurri has rejected several bids for Icardi, with the club President Erick Thohir stating that, the Argentinian forward is not for sale, but at the look of it, they would be willing to strike a deal possibly if Icardi’s suitors could submit an eye-watering offer for the Argentine.
Now, according to reports reached from Le Repubblica via the Italian media outlet, duo report claims that the Partenopei are ready and will make on final attempt to secure the service of the forward at San Paola as they are willing to offer Inter €50m, as well as Manolo Gabbiadini.
Gabbiadini, 24, currently is valued at €25m, as per the club and Transfermkt and with his addition to €50m for Icardi, it would amount to a €75m bid.
