Arsenal are obviously in the market for the signing of new and highly-rated stars in attempt to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Report according to the Daily Star says Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will be having his medical tomorrow ahead of his return to Roma. The 26-year-old notched 42 appearances on loan with the Serie A giants last season.
Szczesny new deal however, will be once again be a loan move but this time with a permanent option of £13.4m agreed for the end of the season.
Moreover, reports according to the Daily Mail also confirms that the Polish goalkeeper move will be confirmed this week and his medical with the Italian giants as well.
Szczesny while at the Emirates stadium has made 180 appearances for the Gunners, last of which of came in the north London club FA Cup final victory over Aston Villa in 2015.
However, after Szczesny was caught red-handed smoking in the showers after the New Year’s Day defeat to Southampton earlier that year, David Ospina replaced him in the Premier League side.
It was clear that he wouldn’t be the first choice at the Emirates stadium when Petr Cech joined last summer from Chelsea.
In addition, that looks to be the case again this season, with Szczesny’s Arsenal career seemingly ending. Probably, he might not make his return to the Emirates stadium at the end of the season with the Italian side showing keen interest in him despite the fact that they have signed a Brazilian goal keeper Allison Becker.
