As Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen on strengthening his squad ahead of the upcoming season, he has reportedly set his eyes on Julian Draxler and Mario Mandzukic.
The north London club have been told they will pay have £50m for the Swiss international and Wolfsburg winger Julian Draxler as according to reports from the Express.
The German World-Cup winner has for long been linked with a move to the Emirates outfit, who are highly interested to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
However, reports’ coming from the Daily Star claims that the German club will only listen to offers in the range of £50m for the German winger though, Draxler has only served the Wolfsburg 12 months of out of his five-year contract.
However, an earlier official report from the German website read that. “This is confirmed by a release clause stipulated with Julian Draxler and his management which only comes into force in the summer of 2017.”
“Wolfsburg will not transfer Julian Draxler during the current transfer period.”
“Wolfsburg have explained to Julian Draxler once again in a talk that his desire to leave the club cannot be accommodated.”
The statement might seems the Gunners could lose to signing the German, but still we’re still linked with the Croatian and Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic according to same report from the English media.
The Croatian forward has been a target for the Premier League giants in the past but report according to an Italian newspaper Tuttosport claims the Gunner must make an enormous offer to appease the Serie A champions if the they’re to sign the forward.
The 30-year-old made 27 Serie A appearances for Juve last term.
